Yard Debris Collection — Individual Homeowner Signup

Residential Yard Debris Pickup Coastal NC | Priority Waste

Single-Customer Yard Debris Pickup in Approved Coastal NC Communities

Priority Waste’s Residential Yard Debris Collection Service is a single-customer offering — meaning each homeowner signs up individually, not as part of a community-wide contract. If your community is on our approved Areas of Service list, you can register directly through our Southport office and start scheduled curbside yard debris pickup.

This is different from our Municipal and HOA programs, which cover every property in a contracted town or HOA boundary automatically. Residential service is for homeowners in communities that don’t have a centralized contract — but where Priority Waste’s route still runs.

How Residential Service Works

Eligibility

Your community, neighborhood, or HOA must appear in our approved Areas of Service dropdown on this page. If you don't see your community listed, scroll to the bottom of this page or call us — some areas are served on an individual basis even when they're not in the dropdown.

Sign-Up

If your community is listed, fill out the contact form on this page with your address and a few details. Our office will be in touch to answer questions, confirm service availability for your specific address, and get you registered.

Service Start

Once registered, you'll receive your scheduled pickup day(s) and approved presentation guidelines (acceptable receptacles, bag types, bundle dimensions). Place your debris at the curb the night before your scheduled day; we pick it up on the route.

Billing

Residential accounts are billed directly by Priority Waste. Your account information, payment, and any service questions are managed through our Southport office.

What's Included

Standard HOA yard debris collection covers vegetative debris placed at the curb in the approved manner:

  • Leaves, grass clippings, and weeds
  • Trimmings and small branches
  • Pine straw
  • Shrubbery and tree clippings
  • Any vegetative debris that fits the contract’s approved receptacle, bag, or bundle specifications

What’s not covered: Yard waste service does not include dirt, sand, stumps, plant pots, rocks, compost, landscaping timbers, construction debris, household garbage, painted or treated lumber, or other non-vegetative material. For those items, Priority Waste offers roll-off dumpster rental, junk removal, and debris removal as separate services.

Bursh Cans

96-Gallon Trash Cans Available for Purchase

Priority Waste, Inc. offers 96-gallon trash cans for purchase at $115.00 plus tax per can. Delivery is included with each purchase.

Once purchased, the can becomes the resident’s property. Residents are responsible for keeping the can in good condition. Priority Waste, Inc. is not responsible for repairs, replacement cans, or damage after purchase.

Approved Cans for Service

Priority Waste, Inc. will only service the following cans:

Priority Waste, Inc. 96-gallon cans
Brush Bandit 96-gallon cans
Non-logoed cans with wheels and a front lift bar

Cans that do not meet these requirements will not be picked up.

Why HOA Boards Choose Priority Waste

Local Service

Priority Waste operates out of Southport, NC. Routes are run by local crews who know coastal Brunswick County neighborhoods.

Real People on the Phone

Calls go to our Southport office, not a regional call center. Schedule changes, billing questions, and service requests are handled directly.

Reliable Schedule

Yard debris pickup runs the same day each week (or on the bi-weekly or twice-monthly schedule for your area). Storm events or holidays may shift the day; we communicate any change before the next pickup.

Storm-Ready

When tropical systems or wind events generate heavy debris volume, we coordinate schedule adjustments with affected accounts. We've worked Brunswick County through every major storm in recent years.

If Your Community Isn't Listed

If your community, neighborhood, or HOA is not on our approved Areas of Service list, that doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t serve you.
