Priority Waste’s Yard Debris Collection Service is built for routine, reliable curbside pickup. Set your debris at the curb in approved receptacles before the scheduled service day. Our crew runs the route. The debris is gone before the workday ends.
This service is distinct from our roll-off dumpster rental — it’s recurring scheduled pickup, not a project container drop. Whether your community is on a centralized HOA contract, a municipal agreement, or an individual residential plan, the route runs on a published calendar.
What We Collect
Our crews collect vegetative debris placed at the curb in approved receptacles and bundle sizes:
- Leaves, grass clippings, and weeds
- Trimmings and small branches
- Pine straw
- Shrubbery and tree clippings
- Any vegetative debris that fits an approved receptacle, biodegradable bag, or tied bundle
Not included in yard debris pickup: construction debris, household garbage, treated or painted lumber, stumps, dirt and rocks, and non-vegetative material. Those items require a different service — call us and we’ll route you to the right Priority Waste option, whether that’s a roll-off dumpster, junk removal, or debris removal service.
How Service Is Organized
Municipal Service
Your town contracts with Priority Waste for community-wide debris collection. All residents are covered under the town's agreement. Pickup days and stipulations are set by the municipal contract.
HOA Service
Your homeowners association contracts centrally on behalf of community residents. The HOA office handles billing and route information.
Residential Service
Available for individual homeowners in approved communities that don't have a centralized municipal or HOA contract. Sign up directly through our office; we'll confirm your address is on the route.
Service Area
Priority Waste delivers Yard Debris Collection across Southeast North Carolina from our Southport office — Brunswick County coastal communities, Brunswick County inland towns, and surrounding areas. Coverage depends on whether your specific community is on our route.

Storm Response
Yard debris collection volume runs heavy after storms. When a tropical system, nor’easter, or significant wind event tracks through coastal NC, additional pickup costs or schedule adjustments may apply — the volume of brush and tree debris can exceed what a standard collection plan covers. We communicate any schedule or cost change directly to the affected accounts before the next scheduled pickup.
