Stipulations of Service:
All Yard Debris should be placed at curb night before scheduled service day, in the following approved manner — (1) Approved Rollaway Cart (provided by Brush Bandit at a cost), (up to) (15) Biodegradable Bags or (up to) (4) Tied Bundles (max. 4′ long & 24″ circumference). Any reasonable combination is acceptable.
In the event of a significant wind event, which generates more than the average collection service plan covers, service schedules may have to be adjusted and/or additional cost may apply. Any change in service schedule or cost, due to such an event, will be communicated prior to pick up.
Pick Up Times: 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month
Homeowner Association services are centrally managed and contracted by your governing HOA. For questions regarding Terms of Service, billing, or route information, please review the information listed above or contact your local HOA office.
If your HOA is not listed as one of Priority Waste’s service areas, please contact us. We will be happy to discuss how Priority Waste may assist in providing centralized yard debris collection service for your community.
Please Note: You should also check the Residential Service section before assuming your area is not currently serviced. Services may be available on an individual basis.
How HOA Service Works
Contract Structure
Priority Waste contracts directly with the homeowners association or its management company. The HOA is the customer of record. All terms, billing, and route information run through the HOA office.
Coverage
Every property within the HOA's contracted boundary is included. Individual residents do not sign up separately; service is automatic for any address within the community.
Stipulations
Each HOA contract specifies how yard debris should be presented — approved receptacles, biodegradable bags, bundle dimensions, and any community-specific rules. Those details appear in the per-HOA section once you select your community from the dropdown.
Schedule
Each HOA contract has a published pickup day or schedule. Coastal NC HOA accounts run on a range of cadences — weekly, bi-weekly, or twice monthly (e.g., 1st and 3rd Tuesday). Storm events or holidays may shift the schedule; the HOA office is notified in advance.
What's Included
Standard HOA yard debris collection covers vegetative debris placed at the curb in the approved manner:
- Leaves, grass clippings, and weeds
- Trimmings and small branches
- Pine straw
- Shrubbery and tree clippings
- Any vegetative debris that fits the contract’s approved receptacle, bag, or bundle specifications
What’s not covered: Yard waste service does not include dirt, sand, stumps, plant pots, rocks, compost, landscaping timbers, construction debris, household garbage, painted or treated lumber, or other non-vegetative material. For those items, Priority Waste offers roll-off dumpster rental, junk removal, and debris removal as separate services.
Bursh Cans
96-Gallon Trash Cans Available for Purchase

Approved Cans for Service
Priority Waste, Inc. will only service the following cans:
Priority Waste, Inc. 96-gallon cans
Brush Bandit 96-gallon cans
Non-logoed cans with wheels and a front lift bar
Cans that do not meet these requirements will not be picked up.
Why HOA Boards Choose Priority Waste
Single Point of Contact
Your HOA office or property management company has one direct contact at Priority Waste. No call center, no transferred calls — direct communication with our Southport team.
Predictable Operations
HOA contracts require routes that run when promised. Our crews stay on the published schedule and communicate proactively when storms or holidays shift the day.
Local Knowledge
Priority Waste's crews know the coastal HOAs of Brunswick County — gated entries, narrow community streets, beach-area access, shared driveways, and the seasonal patterns of when debris volume spikes.
Resident-Friendly Pickup
Residents see a consistent crew, on a consistent day, picking up debris from a consistent location. That's what HOA boards hear about least — because it just works.
Find Your HOA
Use the dropdown on this page to select your community. Once selected, you’ll see the specific stipulations of service, presentation rules, and pickup schedule for your HOA contract.
Please note — if your HOA is not listed, also check the Residential Services page before assuming your area is not currently serviced. Some coastal NC communities are served through individual residential signups even when there’s no centralized HOA contract.
